Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now

Backbeat the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt

And all the roads we have to walk along are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
I don't know how

Because maybe

I've seen you in my dreams
I've felt you nearby

I've been left in awe to finally meet you

My face hurts from smiling
My stomach aches from laughing
My mind flows with creative ways to say sweet things to you
My heart beats faster to hold you close

How long I have waited for this day
How beautiful you are in all the right ways
How do you make time stop when we are together
How can I help but look in those beautiful eyes and see the future!

How beautiful that place is
And how much do I want to return there
That ash tree meadow
Under the prettiest star in the sky

The night is dark
And the morning is far off
In the darkness your star has shown the way
To that ash where we met

I long for that time again
That time spent together
And the adventures we have yet to do
Come be free with me!

Your smile is bright and warm
Your laugh is a joy to be around
Your curves make me melt
And your heart makes me love you!
