Recently I was confronted with the soul mates issue again (I don\'t think I ever talked about it here). Been a while since I gave it much thought so my first response probably was rather haphazard.
I do and I don\'t believe in soul mates. It\'s not biblical. What I\'ve come to find is there are many possible matches out there. Many \"Miss Rights\". The problem is not the match but the intersection of the right moment. It\'s all about timing. Being at the right place at the right time in your life and meeting someone who is there also.
Something that bothers me about the idea of soul mates is I\'ve seen many who claim to be soul mates break up. If soul mates were real that wouldn\'t happen. Which leads me to the only way to know you found your soul mate. That would be the person that has loved you and is by you in your last days.
If that person dies early in life does that mean you have to spend the rest of your life alone? God I hope not! So there has to be many potential \"soul mates\". Probably not as romantic to think of it like that but too much disproves the one and only soul mate idea. So be free, and one day look back and you will know who it is.
